GENERAL ISSUES RELATED TO RELIABILITY AND SAFETY OF THE POWER INDUSTRY

4-13 308
Abstract
The article analyses the current economic condition of OJSC Gazprom as the backbone of Russia’s gas industry and its changes over the years of 2005 to 2010. It considers prime cost dynamics of gas production, transportation and storage as well as final prices of gas during the above period and the way how they have been influenced by domestics and external markets. The article shows positive consequences of reduction and stabilization of domestic gas prices on the level of 2005. The economic aspects of Gazprom’s oil sector are studied.

Abstract
Normative and technical documents do not specify unambiguous requirements to the definition of installed capacity of power generating units of cogeneration Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) which regularly leads to contradictions between JSC “SO UPS” and power generation companies of the country.

Abstract
Human activity changes the climate of the planet, results in greenhouse effect and global warming. The situation can only be improved by adopting alternative energy generation technology which is a symbiosis of nuclear and hydroelectric power plants.

ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR

21-24 365
Abstract
The issue concerning the condition of regulatory system used in investment and construction activity has been reviewed. The analysis of current condition has been made; the necessity for construction of integral cost control system for construction projects, its development and improvement have been established.

STAFF TRAINING

25-27 371
Abstract
Personnel professional training system has been reviewed. One of success factors for formation of company knowledge management system is regulatory provision for personnel development. Main regulatory documents concerning operational personnel training in the Russian Federation have been listed.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues concerning provision of reliability and safety of electric power supply and their relation with professional training of operational personnel of the industry. Modern requirements to simulator-based training of the personnel have been reviewed. The data on the changes in current legislation on provision of purchases of goods and services has been shown. The reasons for the Russian electric power industry personnel training system falling behind the world level have been reviewed.

ENGINEERING, RESEARCH AND CALCULATIONS

46-53 503
Abstract
Calculation methods for varying duty of Combined Cycle Power Plant CCPP-325 have been offered.
54-58 425
Abstract
The problem of icing of overhead transmission lines (OHTL) has been analyzed. Various types of icing processes, preventative measures and deicing procedures for wires and elements of OHTL have been reviewed.
59-62 478
Abstract
The existing calculation methods for axial-flow compressor have been studied and a new method for calculation of flow characteristics and losses for compressors designed based on the locally refined profiles of the axial-flow compressor has been developed on their basis

Abstract

The solution to the problem of decreasing the fuel oil specific consumption for generation of heat energy at boiler plants, as well as improvement of emission characteristics of boiler plants through molecular modification of fuel oil by electric fields have been shown. Technology of molecular modification of fuel oil was developed by “SPA MMT” Ltd., and is being introduced in the heat power engineering of several regions of Russia, in particular Yaroslav region.

Abstract
The activity of modular SCR catalysts at experimental plant of Zainsk GRES (State area power plant) on the basis of renewable industrial waste of Thermal Power Plant (TPP) has been studied. Formulas for calculation of the constant reduction rate of nitrogen oxides with ammonia depending on the temperature of flue gases and the catalyst operating time have been obtained.
