Abstract
One of the key indicators of heat supply organizations is the reliability of energy facilities. The index of reliability of heat supply organization is of interest to potential investors, to assess the risks of investing projects. We propose a method of determining the reliability of heat supply organizations with the use of SAW (simple additive weighting method). We developed a versatile program and the analysis of heat supply organizations on the example of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Abstract
Influence of local heat transfer coefficient on thermal strain of inlet and outlet pipelines of supercharged piston-type internal combustion engines at different turbine compressor rotor rotation frequencies is considered. A method is suggested for reducing the local heat transfer coefficient, on average, by 25% in an inlet pipeline of a supercharged engine.

Abstract
The problem of calculation of static characteristics of sleeve-type bearings used in today’s power units is considered. The traditional calculation method cited in reference books on calculation of bearings involves using an isothermal model of flow in a layer of lubricant. The paper takes into account heating and alteration of all the lubricant properties as related to temperature. Exemplary calculations are provided for static characteristics for a six-shoe segmental journal bearing including results of calculations of the bearing capacity, losses for friction and heating of lubricant with consideration of alteration of the lubricant properties upon heating and with non-uniformity of temperature distribution taken into account.

The problems connected with increased reliability of high-speed electrical systems, including high-speed microturbine generator installations were discussed. The review of foreign constructions of hybrid magnetic bearings that are used to improve the reliability of high-speed generators is presented. Identified their main development trends and prospects of using in various industries. The recommendations on the practical application of hybrid magnetic bearings are given.

Abstract
The aim is the optimization of industrial heating cogeneration (CHP) by the criterion of marginal profit when working on the wholesale electricity market. There is given technique of optimization that allows at each step to determine the increment of the variables of the objective function, ensuring maximum change of the objective function in the direction of increase within a given step and while respecting the given constraints. The example of the cogeneration heating plant optimization calculation is considered.

Abstract
Considerable duration of natural cooling of steam turbines extends the time of their idling for repair, reduces the installed capacity utilization factor, makes necessary a larger capacity margin in energy systems. The above factors suggest the necessity of introducing various technologies for accelerated withdrawal of steam turbines for scheduled maintenance and emergency repair. Results are stated of a study on shutdown conditions of an off-unit steam turbine with cooldown as a single unit comprising a boiler.
