GENERAL ISSUES RELATED TO RELIABILITY AND SAFETY OF THE POWER INDUSTRY

6-9 433
Abstract
Article is devoted questions of support of nuclear and radiating safety in territory of Russia. Substantive provisions of the federal law «About the management with a radioactive waste and about modification of separate acts of the Russian Federation» are considered, the basic stages of the Federal target program «Support of nuclear and radiating safety for 2008 and for the period till 2015 » are presented and its work is analyzed.
10-12 428
Abstract
The article shows certain special features of repair planning of power engineering equipment. Recommendations are offered for payoff period analysis of consumed resources. A methodology is proposed for payoff calculation of repairs.
13-21 360
Abstract
The article deals with negative consequences of the reforms of the national United Energy System. Certain measures are presented for their rectification in order to ensure sustainable development and energy safety of Russia.
22-26 484
Abstract
The article deals with methods of increasing reliability and energy efficiency of municipal district heating systems. Assessment is carried out of reference fuel saving in a combined heat supply system.

ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR

27-36 394
Abstract
The article analyses the current economic condition of OJSC Gazprom as the backbone of Russia’s gas industry and its changes over the years of 2005 to 2010. It considers prime cost dynamics of gas production, transportation and storage as well as final prices of gas during the above period and the way how they have been influenced by domestics and external markets. The article shows positive consequences of reduction and stabilization of domestic gas prices on the level of 2005. The economic aspects of Gazprom’s oil sector are studied.
37-42 458
Abstract
The article deals with technical possibilities for increasing heat supply efficiency. It shows some examples of using seasonal heat accumulation as a method of reducing fuel consumption and heating tariffs based on social and economic effects.

ENGINEERING, RESEARCH AND CALCULATIONS

43-47 490
Abstract
The article presents a mathematical model and results of calculation studies related to impact of a design profile of multi-stage steam turbines on cost effectiveness and reliability of their operations. The above model and results of the studies are used by OJSC ‘Siloviye Mashiny’ for design of steam turbines.
48-52 433
Abstract
The article defines directions, in which it is necessary to determine heat losses in heating networks. It considers change dynamics of the SNiP requirements regarding heat losses on the pipeline surface of various laying types. The task is set to optimize heat insulation of pipelines in heating networks; the dedicated software product is described; certain calculation results are offered.

Abstract
The task is set to study stability of a complex energy system by quick-acting controls of primary engines (turbines). The structure and some equations are described for the energy system in question, which consists of the electrics, as well as equations describing dynamic properties of turbines. Research results are shown, based on which certain applications have been determined, and recommendations have been elaborated for the use of quick-acting control of turbine power in a complex energy system.

Abstract
The article presents the electrics of the regulation and protection system of steam turbines at CJSC ‘UTZ’, which is based on modern industrial controllers. It shows that the regulation and protection system of steam turbines can perform diagnostics and regulation functions with relation to thermal stress condition of the HPC body.
62-64 414
Abstract
The article presents results of experimental studies of heat output in the cylindrical channel when temperature of the working body suddenly rises.
67-71 477
Abstract
Based on the results of performed studies of origination and development processes of steel surface damage as well as on the analysis and generalization of previous theoretical and experimental studies, the article describes stages of erosive wear kinetics caused by droplet impact. The description is related to solving the problem of improving wearability of the blade unit of wet and steam stages of turbines.
72-75 579
Abstract
The article presents results of experimental checking and feasibility study for shutdown steam cooling of steam turbines in PGU-450 generation units and in steam lines. It shows that when the shutdown steam cooling is applied to the PGU units, it is possible to start repairs of the equipment as early as 8-10 hours after shutdown of the equipment.
