GENERAL ISSUES RELATED TO RELIABILITY AND SAFETY OF THE POWER INDUSTRY

2-11 424
Abstract
The safety issues of the nuclear power plants located in the territory of the Russian Federation are considered in the article. Statistical information is provided and immediate and root causes of violations in work of nuclear power plants are analysed. Bottlenecks in ensuring nuclear and radiation safety of objects of nuclear power are designated. The main unresolved questions connected with storage of spent nuclear fuel are specified. Information on emissions and dumpings of radioactive materials, and also degrees of fullness of storages of the solid and liquid radioactive waste which are at nuclear power plants is provided. Information on results of stress tests and a condition of a question of a conclusion from operation of power units of the nuclear power plants is provided.

Abstract
Fundamental principles of a proprietary model representing the reliability of electrical power systems and their associations (UES of Russia, unified power systems) are outlined. The model provides for the analytical determination of main EPS reliability indicators when operating as part of a generation (adequacy) and bulk power systems (transmission reliability) taking into account location of generating capacities and power loads, power modes, dynamic and static stability, and reliable performance of bulk power systems. The calculations result in estimation of the lost load annual average and consumers’ economic loss arising from interruptions in their power supply that serves as a basis for the system reliability improvement.

Abstract
The article analyzes reasons of technogenic accidents in the RF. It mentions the key ‘internal’ and ‘external’ reasons of accidents at hazardous production facilities. The article deals with the requirements for ensuring reliable, economical and safe operating modes of the equipment. It sets forth a modern structure for personnel training. Certain scientific and technical requirements and recommendations are offered for simulation of ergatic distribution systems for trainers designed for operation personnel of power generation facilities. The article dwells upon the initial regulations of the power industry in the USSR that set forth the requirements for training and simulator systems.

Abstract
Long-term experience of use of a training complex for training of students and professional development of operation personnel of compressor shops with gas-turbine GPA is presented. Th e description of operating experience of the full-scale exercise machine, according to authors, supplements information provided in works [1–3]. Relevance of continuation of discussion concerning application of technical means of training with use of imitating modeling of a power facility is confi rmed by many factors.

Abstract
The «Turbine steam extraction efficiency» method was originally developed for calculation of power indicators of steam-powered CHP plants, however it can be successfully used to determine the fuel consumption for the production and distribution of thermal and electrical energy for CНР of various types (GTU, CCGT). The issues related with realization of this method for the CCGT plants are analyzed and resolved. The Krasnodarskaya CHP plant is taken as an example of using of presented method for CCGT.

Abstract

The article offers to equip the air cooler of turbine compressor of the gas turbine unit in the two-loop steam and gas unit PG-450 with a low pressure steam reheater, a turbine condensate heater and an intermediate steam reheater for secondary reheating of steam after working in the low pressure cylinder of the steam turbine. Operation analysis is performed with relation to the steam and gas unit PG with and without the use of steam reheating in the turbine compressor of the gas turbine unit. The article concludes that if intermediate steam reheating is used, specific consumption of reference fuel for power generation for the PGU-450 decreases from 243.61 gr/kWh to 229.39 gr/kWh.
