Abstract
The examples are considered of the authors’ strategy realization of steam turbines equipment design improvement. The strategy of work execution provides a solution to problems of reliability augmentation for power engineering equipment at the stages of design and manufacturing. Widespread use of modern information technologies, as the authors believe, is the one of the main methods for steam turbine units equipment improving.

Abstract
At the disposal of the international institutions are not standardized tools to assess the technologies effectiveness both the power generation and the industrial production on greenhouse gases. The article presents the results of testing of previously developed system of complex power generation evaluation criterion on greenhouse gas emissions by two enterprises of JSC "Generation Company". Approbation showed the transparency, objectivity and adequacy reflection characteristics of the investigated facilities of Company. Low carbon ratings evaluation system can be used for organizations engaged in economic and other activities in the Russian Federation, and is available for use in the international format.

Abstract
The problems of efficiency improvement of mass transfer in units for oil shale thermal destruction with solid heat carrier for obtaining high-calorie liquid and gaseous fuels for power boilers were investigated. It is found out that the quality of mixing of materials influenced the intensity of heating and pyrolysis. The experimental system for modeling of mixing process was created. The data on distribution of materials in different sections of the reactor drum-type units with solid heat carrier was obtained.

Abstract
The paper analyzes the behavior of height distribution of erodent reflected hard particles on special «trap» after particles interaction with the target surface. The paper analyzes received values of mathematical expectation M, standard deviation σ, coefficient of asymmetry Sk and kurtosis Ex. As a result of the gas-abrasive flow interaction to the target surface changes the fractional composition of the erodent particles, as well as changes «poly-dispersity» and «poly-speed» of erodent particles. This may influence on the turbomachinery structural elements solid particle erosion located further along the direction of the main steam flow movement

Abstract
The working technology of combined heat and power plant providing use of condensate after a peak network heater in the additional water-to-water heat exchanger for heating of network water is offered. Temperature schedules of the heat carrier after the main network heaters, the additional water-to-water heat exchanger and a peak network heater are constructed. For the traditional and offered technologies of combined heat and power plant exergetic charts are constructed and the exergetic analysis of thermodynamic effectiveness for their heating installations is made.

Abstract
The article provides the advantages of exergy method application for evaluation of the expansion machines generated effect and for the assessment of the effectiveness of machines themselves, as well as plants and systems to which they belong, appliances in comparison with using other performance criteria. It is shown that in some cases this effect can be determined only by means of the exergy efficiency factor.

Abstract
High vibration level in the elements of electrical machines may result in fatigue damage accumulation. To localize and eliminate the causes of excessive vibration, an approach which can accurately predict the behavior of the system is needed. In this paper, the technique of vibration state evaluation and analysis of the electrical machine elements containing composite materials is provided. The adequacy of the method is confirmed by matching the results of experiments and numerical simulations.

Abstract
The problems of expander technology implementation at power facilities in Russia for electric power and/ or cold generation due to the excess pressure of natural gas (NG) usage are discussed. The results of the thermodynamic effectiveness analysis of the expander-generator units (EGU) using the exergy efficiency of the system are presented. The necessity of natural gas heating in some modes, not only before, but also after the EGU is shown. The inability of the EGU usage for a trigeneration units creation is proved. The research results and the EGU operating experience in the Mosenergo system are presented.

Abstract
The paper substantiates a methodology for converting gas pipeline capacity from cubic meters over a considered time period, the units which are normally used to calculate operating conditions of gas supply systems, to the other units (kg. c. e., kWh or kW). This is necessary to calculate the distribution series of states of the electric power system that has gas-fired power plants. The relevance, operability and suitability of this methodology for practical application are demonstrated. The methodology was tested in the calculation of distribution series of the capacity of the main gas pipeline «Gryazovets - Syktyvkar».
