Abstract

The role of energy in the development of society, the influence of energy consumption on the condition of ecology, and relation between ecology and economics have been shown. The ways of controlling the deterioration of ecology situation which is affected by process systems of the power industry, power consuming complexes and transport systems have been reviewed. Regarding the power conditioning thermal complexes the measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving the ecology through compatible upgrading and re-equipping have been shown. Transport and gas distribution as a unified energy system has been reviewed.
